I am not really sure how the month of October passed so quickly, but Halloween is only two days away and if you haven't figured out your costume yet don't worry we have a few easy, successful costumes! Ever since I can remember, I have loved Halloween and all the candy, costumes and pumpkin carving and although I may be an adult, I still love it. One of my favorite things to do is to pull from my closet, add a few false eyelashes and accessories and ta da you probably have a great costume. Here are a few costumes that I have either personally done or have been put on my list for the future!
Queen of Hearts - Make sure to include a crown, a bold red lip in the shape of a heart and a puffy red dress and you will be good to go.
Mary Poppins & Bert - I am dying to do this with the hubs, and it wouldn't be that hard at all and it includes a hat & umbrella, how could it not be fun!
Deer & Hunter - Another great single or couple costume is a deer & hunter. The trick here is to make sure and get your make-up done. I highly recommend signing up at Sephora the day of the party and let them do their magic.
Tippi Hedrin from Hitchcock's The Birds - This may be a super creepy movie, which I refuse to watch, but the costume itself is amazing. Throw a few giant crows on your shoulder and a green dress and you have the look within minutes.
Troll Doll - If you grew up in the 90s you will never forget the funky troll dolls with neon hair and a jewel on your belly button. This is a great group costume or you can go solo and look amazing. Here is a great little nude dress that you can wear again!
Pop Art Comic Costume - Again this may be good to have some help with the make-up, but how fun and playful is it. Sometimes it is nice to not go scary & evil, but old school.
Greek Goddess - If you don't have much time, grab a long neutral dress or white sheet and wrap a gold leaf crown around some beautiful locks and call it down. Just make sure it is going to be a warm night or at least an indoor party!
Clue Characters - THis is a fabulous and innovative group costume. Each person is a bit different, but together the story is great. It doesn't help that one my favorite games growing up was Clue, I would love to be Ms. Scarlet with the revolver, I just have to convince 5 other people to join me!
This year I will be going to see the ballet, Dracula in Columbus, OH to celebrate the holiday with Carly, but that doesn't mean you don't have to miss out on dressing up. If you are going to be in Cinci and are looking for a good party check out the Malice Ball in OTR. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
