Whether you're a beauty addict or a keep-it-simple kind of girl, traveling for a few days or weeks can really do some damage to your daily skin, hair, and make-up routines. In foreign climates and without your handy stash of full-sized go-to products it can be hard work keeping up your everyday appearance. I have been preparing for a 2 week Italian get-away (September please come quicker!) where I plan to bring only carry-on sized luggage, so getting strategic with the types and quantities of beauty products I bring is an absolute must. Ideally I would also like to save most of my money for spending overseas rather than on TSA approved items that will only last me a week or two, so I've been carefully accessing what I should spend money on (#3- decent travel sized skin care) versus where I can save (#1- shampoo and conditioner that can be easily bottled from my home supply.) Luckily for us traveling types a lot of great brands make affordable travel-sized versions of their products so we don't have to sacrifice quality and spa-like amenities for lack of luggage space. Check out (#4) Sephora's single use masks, (#5) blowPro's travel-sized protective hair styling mist, (#6) Bite Beauty's mini creme lipstick duo, (#8) eos everyday hand lotion, (#13) Batiste's cult-favorite travel-sized dry shampoo, and (#14) Supergoop's refreshing setting mist with SPF 50. All of these products are $12 or less and are a great way to try out a new brand without a big investment!

In addition to considering the price of things, I've also sought out products that can help me reduce the amount of liquids I will need to bring, like (#2) Face Cleansing Cloths to cut out liquid face wash and (#9) pre-moistened nail polish remover pads to take care of pesky chipped polish. For make-up, I looked for great products that would not only last me well beyond the trip but that also didn't require any special brushes or sharpeners for application. These include (#7) Stila's incredible Stay All Day liquid eye liner, (#10 & 11) Make Up Forever or Stila's awesome cream blushes that can be finger applied, and (#15) Laura Mercier's travel-sized setting powder which comes with its own powder puff. Finally, no trip is complete without a decent (#12) deodorant- those long flights and fluctuating temperatures in the plane can leave a girl feeling less than fresh!

Hopefully some of my travel beauty finds will help you out as you prepare for your next trip!

Safe and happy travels!
