With a week-long forecast of warm sunny days ahead, it's hard to believe that we'll all be saying goodbye to summer in a little over a month. For those in warmer climates this seasonal switch might not mean all that much, but for us in Ohio this translates to a seemingly too short fall season and never-ending months of wintery coldness. But lets not think about that right now! Positive thoughts! While September 22nd is technically the last day of summer, Labor Day weekend has become the unofficial end-of-summer, last-hoorah time to party in the sun with friends and family. Amanda and I don't need much of an excuse to throw a party, but saying goodbye to summer over a 3-day holiday weekend seems like a great reason to decorate, drink, and dine with friends! For our Labor Day get-together we are designing around a fun pineapple theme (they've got such a great shape and texture!) and have decided that boozy punches and picnic favorites like BBQ pulled-pork will be on the menu for the day. And if you know us at all, there will be gold! No party is complete without a little bling!
To prepare and share in our party planning, we are creating a series of posts that will launch every Wednesday up to the holiday weekend. Starting off this set is a festive invite that we created for our party- and for you!
Download an editable PDF version of our invite here, free for you to use! Fill out the When, Where, and RSVP lines, email out to all your friends and family and prepare to have a fabulous summer celebration! If you have Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator you can easily open up this PDF in those programs to add in your own font of choice to complete the invitation- we used the font Backlash from Creative Market for this! Or go old-school and print these beauties out and hand-write in all your information and mail or hand-deliver! We're still big fans of paper prints!
Remember to check back with us on the blog every Wednesday up to Labor Day weekend as we prepare for our pineapple and punch party!
Happy hump day! Cheers!
