Mom's do so much everyday, that when Mother's Day comes around you think that the only option is to go all out, but honestly, I think all they really want is to spend quality time with their family. However, we still feel like we should present some sort of gift. Of course, I am no expert as I am not a mom, but I have learned over the many years of bringing home craft projects, hand written notes and small treasures, that what mom's seem to love the most are hand crafted, filled with love gifts. Last year we pulled together a collection of pretty gifts that any mom would love, but lacked the personal handmade quality. This year our collection is made of beautiful hand crafted items that aren't complicated, expensive or perfect, just made by you!
The few pieces shown above are some of my favorite things found online while perusing other blogs, while the ideas below are from previous Mishaps & Mimosas' posts. You really can't go wrong with any one of these ideas, and not one of them should take too much time; so there is plenty of time to make a gift before this Sunday, May 8th.
So take it from someone who's mom still has an abnormal ceramic bear from 3rd grade, that what they really love is some personal time with you and a small hand made gesture. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend celebrating and thanking all the moms in your life near and far for all that they do!
